Cover Reveal: Asunder by Jodi Meadows
Jodi Meadows revealed the title and cover of the next book in her Incarnate trilogy today, as you can see above, it is called Asunder! As you can see, it totally matches the Incarnate cover, which makes me so, SO happy! And Jodi really gave us the jackpot, because she also provided the synopsis!
From Jodi Meadows’ site:
DARKSOULS
Ana has always been the only one. Asunder. Apart. But after Templedark, when many residents of Heart were lost forever, some hold Ana responsible for the darksouls–and the newsouls who may be born in their place.
SHADOWS
Many are afraid of Ana’s presence, a constant reminder of unstoppable changes and the unknown. When sylph begin behaving differently toward her and people turn violent, Ana must learn to stand up not only for herself but for those who cannot stand up for themselves.
LOVE
Ana was told that nosouls can’t love. But newsouls? More than anything, she wants to live and love as an equal among the citizens of Heart, but even when Sam professes his deepest feelings, it seems impossible to overcome a lifetime of rejection.
In this second book in the Incarnate trilogy, Ana discovers the truth about reincarnation and will have to find a way to embrace love and make her young life meaningful. Once again, Jodi Meadows explores the extraordinary beauty and shadowed depths of the soul in a story equal parts epic romance and captivating fantasy.
Doesn’t this sound AMAZING? Asunder will be darker as Ana comes into her own more and faces further challenges.
Jodi also answers some burning questions that are likely to pop into your head as you gaze at this lovely cover so make sure to read her announcement. Plus, she’s holding a giveaway! Don’t forget to add Asunder on Goodreads!
The expected publication date is early 2013.

Cover Reveal: The Goddess Legacy by Aimée Carter
Harlequin TEEN revealed this cover on their Facebook page today. I love it! I love all the covers of this series. They are so beautiful and ethereal, as they should be because of the stories they tell. I loved The Goddess Test, I just finished The Goddess Hunt novella, and now I’m almost halfway through Goddess Interrupted. I love this world that Carter has built and I can’t get enough, so I’m glad she is writing these novellas.
Instead of just one story, The Goddess Legacy will include five novellas featuring Ava, Calliope, Persephone, James, and Henry. I’m definitely looking forward to it!
The expected publication date is August 2012.

Cover Reveal: Reached by Ally Condie
AHHH, I ♥ it!!! It’s so RED and pretty and matches the first two book covers perfectly! I can’t wait to have it on my shelf, even though they might all have to lie flat since I have NO.ROOM! But still, I have the first two in hardcover and I will be definitely buying this one. Matched was okay for me, but Crossed really sucked me in. I hope Reached is even better!
This is the second cover reveal in two days (see: Rift) where the announcements were not made by the authors but rather some other entertainment outlet. Is this a new trend? Why? Us bloggers would gladly have taken on the responsibility of getting the cover out there and we still do anyway. Oh well.
No synopsis yet, but maybe in the next few months, hopefully!
Entertainment Weekly’s Shelf Life not only had the pleasure of revealing the cover for Reached, but they also has the chance to ask Ally some questions about book three. Make sure to click on the cover to see the interview and announcement. The highlights? Reached will have three points-of-view! Cassia’s, Ky’s, and Xander’s! Ally also says that most of the big questions will be answered in Reached, but not all. She’s giving us some room for imaginations, I guess!
The expected publication date is 13 November 2012.

Cover Reveal: Rift by Andrea Cremer
Wow! Even though it’s YA, it definitely follows the Nightshade trilogy with its updated covers, but this one is so much better than any of those. I love that the Ember, the main female character, has red hair like Andrea. What I don’t love? This prequel to the Nightshade books is supposed to be set in the sixteenth century and this chick on the cover definitely does not look sixteenth century from her makeup to her clothes (although, the designers tried with the clothes, but they just look like a modern costume of sixteenth century wear to me). Then again, Ember doesn’t sound like your average medieval girl, so maybe her clothing has something to do with Conatus. But looking past all of that, it’s a beautiful cover. I’m looking forward to Rift - I have high hopes for it, because it’s set in a time period that I love.
As of now, there is only a brief synopsis:
Before Calla Tor, there was Ember Morrow
Sixteen-year-old Lady Ember Morrow fulfills a family obligation by joining her friend Alistair in the Conatus Guard and begins training to help with the order’s true mission, to seek out and stop evildoers and their unnatural creations.
Want to read the whole first chapter of Rift? Hollywood Crush has it here! It’s certainly interesting, but I was a bit confused because it indicates the year is 1404, which is fifteenth century, not the sixteenth indicated in Hollywood Crush’s announcement.
The expected publication date is 7 August 2012.

Cover Reveal: Glass Heart by Amy Garvey
I love beautiful covers, don’t you? This cover is really beautiful. So was the cover for Cold Kiss. Unfortunately, I only gave Cold Kiss three stars, but don’t worry, that means I liked it! It just wasn’t way up there. But I am curious about Glass Heart. I don’t think there will be any zombies in this one and it seems like it will explore more of the magical side.
There is no synopsis yet, but you can add Glass Heart on Goodreads. Be sure to check out Amy Garvey’s announcement because she gives readers five clues as to what will happen in Glass Heart!

The expected publication date is October 2012.

Cover Reveal: Promised by Caragh M. O’Brien
Oooh, what a surprise! I had no idea this cover was coming out any time soon, but I love it. It definitely fits with the other two covers and I’ve loved Caragh’s books ever since I first read Birthmarked.
Synopsis (highlight):
Gaia Stone has challenged the ruthless regime of the Enclave, she’s crossed a terrible wasteland to live in Sylum and even adapted to their strange new ways. But now she faces her biggest challenge ever: leading the people of Sylum back to the Enclave in the hopes that they can find a way to peacefully co-exist. The Enclave has grown even more cruel in the time they’ve been away, and now Gaia has the added burden of feeling responsible for the safety of the former residents of Sylum as well as her own. Gaia’s always been strong-minded, but is she willing to pay the price of being a leader? And what if what’s at stake is her and Leon’s future?
I can’t wait to read Promised! I hope you all will click through and read Caragh’s announcement as well - it is very thorough! She talks about how she actually had a lot of input on the cover (and the others, I believe). She chose important visual elements from Promised and described them to the cover artist, who was able to bring her vision to fruition exactly. It is so rare that an author gets to collaborate with the cover artist and I think it is something that should happen more often.
How do YOU think the latest cover compares to the others?
The expected publication date for Promised is 2 October 2012.

Cover Reveal: Hidden by Sophie Jordan
Beautiful, beautiful! It definitely keeps with the essence of the first two book covers in the trilogy! Jacinda’s eyes are bluer in this third cover than they were on the first cover; I’m not sure if that’s on purpose or on accident. I guess we will find out!
Synopsis (highlight):
A dangerous journey.
Shattered bonds.
Undying passion.
Jacinda was supposed to bond with Cassian, the “prince” of their pride.
But she resisted long before she fell in love with Will—a human and, worse,
a hunter. When she ran away with Will, it ended in disaster, with Cassian’s sister, Miram, captured. Weighed down by guilt, Jacinda knows she must rescue
her to set things right. Yet to do so she will have to venture deep into the heart of enemy territory.
The only way Jacinda can reach Miram is by posing as a prisoner herself,
though once she assumes that disguise, things quickly spiral out of her control.
As she learns more about her captors, she realizes that even if Will and Cassian
can carry out their part of the plan, there’s no guarantee they’ll all make it out alive. But what Jacinda never could have foreseen is that escaping would be
only the beginning….
Loyalties are tested and sacrifices made in the explosive conclusion to Sophie Jordan’s Firelight trilogy.
Thankfully, the synopsis does not reveal too much, but if you have not read Vanish, the second book in the trilogy, a tiny bit could be spoiled for you, so read at your own risk!
I’m really excited for Hidden and I wonder what the outcome will be for all of the characters in this world Sophie Jordan created.
How do YOU think the latest cover compares?
The expected date of publication for Hidden is 11 September 2012.

Cover Reveal: The Goddess Hunt by Aimée Carter
I’m not sure how I missed this, but yesterday on Harlequin TEEN’s Facebook page, they revealed the cover for The Goddess Test eBook novella, The Goddess Hunt. It is set between The Goddess Test (currently available) and Goddess Interrupted (available 27 March 2012 according to NetGalley, but according to Harlequin TEEN’s fan page, sometime in April…I’m trying to get a specific date).
Also, there is a synopsis!
From Goodreads:
A vacation in Greece sounds like the perfect way for Kate Winters to spend her first sabbatical away from the Underworld…until she gets caught up in an immortal feud going back millennia. Castor and Pollux have been on the run from Zeus and Hades’s wrath for centuries, hiding from the gods who hunt them. The last person they trust is Kate, the new Queen of the Underworld. Nevertheless, she is determined to help their cause. But when it comes to dealing with immortals, Kate still has a lot to learn…
It sounds exciting! A nice promotional way to get us all excited for Goddess Interrupted. I can’t wait!
As for the cover model, I wonder if she’s the same as for the first book. She definitely looks different, at least to me. Maybe it’s that intense look.
The expected date of publication is 1 March 2012.

Cover Reveal: Even White Trash Zombies Get the Blues by Diana Rowland
Wow. I ♥ it a LOT! I have to admit, I read Diana Rowland’s My Life as a White Trash Zombie last year based on the wonderful cover, but the story inside was equally fantastic. It had a depth that most people might not think it could have from just looking at it and what it is about. And now, finally, THIS. The color is wonderful and it uses the same cover model as before. The title is awesome. I am really looking forward to this one.
As of yet, there is no synopsis available.
The expected date of publication is 3 July 2012.
