Reading preferences:

I read a lot of young adult books in the fantasy, historical, paranormal, steampunk, and contemporary genres. As for adult books, I mainly read historical novels, but once in awhile I will read something different. I also welcome fiction and non-fiction within the historical genre.

I own a Kindle. I am happy to accept certain review copies in electronic form.

By accepting a review copy of a book, I do not guarantee that I will review it. If I do, I will review it honestly and fairly on this blog. If I do not intend to keep the book for any reason after reading it, I will pass it on to another interested reader, probably through a giveaway. 

I will do my best to read and review already published books in a timely manner, however because of real life, it might take several weeks for a review to be posted. If the book has not yet been released, I will do my best to read and review it in time to post it on or about the release date. I do not have a rating system on my blog. I merely explain my thoughts and feelings so readers do not immediately dismiss a book. If I think a book is just okay or not so great, I try to explain what other readers might like about it.

I also post my reviews on Goodreads and Amazon. I am happy to post my review elsewhere if requested.

Note: Since it has been brought up previously, I want to clarify that my recommendations at the end of each of my review are still my opinions, so when I recommend a certain age group, that is my opinion based on the books I have read, the content of the specific book, and the library training I received in my graduate program. Just because the publisher recommends a certain age group, does not mean I will recommend the same. I was taught in library school that librarians often disagree with the recommended ages on the jacket covers of books.
