About the Blog
The Musings of ALMYBNENR is a book blog that reviews mostly young adult books of various genres as well as some children’s and adult books, but any book that catches my interest is game. I review almost everything I read: library books, eBooks, audiobooks, books I buy, and ARCs and review copies that I may receive. I participate in two weekly memes fairly regularly and others sporadically. Besides reviews and memes, I interview authors and others who are in the book industry (Kindlegraph, Brad Wirz of GoneReading), hold book giveaways, and participate in various reading challenges.
The majority of book covers posted on this blog are linked back to Goodreads where I found them. Most covers are clickable and will take the viewer to the source. The majority of author images also come from Goodreads and are linked to their sources. When I cannot find an author image, I use the clipart image of a silhouette with a question mark from Microsoft Word. In some cases, book covers and/or author images will be sent to me from blog tour organizers, authors, and publishers and as a result, may not have attribution links. In the case of my New Loot! posts, the book covers of ARCs I have received from NetGalley and Edelweiss will be linked to where they can bought or pre-ordered at Amazon or The Book Depository (see more details below). The majority of book trailers are embedded from YouTube and can be viewed on YouTube, where one can also find the source of the video. Wordless Wednesday posts feature my personal photographs that I own. Reviews, discussions, opinions, updates and graphics (except for those coming from memes I participate in) are my original content. Blog layout is a free layout from dollicrave.com.
I am an affiliate of Amazon and The Book Depository. Any funds made through this program are cycled back into this blog to cover giveaway costs.
The Short Stuff
26 years old. Recipient of a B.A. in History and a M.L.S. (that’s a library school degree). Life right now = job searching + reading + random stuff. Love reading books and blogs. Tudor history geek (I have the tattoo to prove it - and of course, the knowledge). I love Longaberger baskets, owls, giraffes, and other cute things.
More About Me
I am a kid at heart and an avid reader. I have always loved books, starting in elementary school with Francine Pascal’s various Sweet Valley Twins series. My tastes have expanded since then and I am not afraid to read outside of my comfort zone to discover new and exciting reads.
I love history. I have a Bachelor’s degree in History (I minored in Medieval Studies) and I completed my graduate school program in July, which means I now have a Master of Library Science degree.
I am currently unemployed and looking for work, specifically at public libraries, so feel free to make me an offer. :)
My other loves besides books are my family, my dogs Rudy and Tally, and the FX television series Sons of Anarchy. I have an obsession with most anything Tinkerbell, tassel dolls, the Tudor era, cherries, owls, and giraffes.
Would you like to know anything else? Feel free to ask me on Twitter or on Formspring and I may be able to incorporate my responses into this section.
